Jon Frankel

Jon is one of my favorite writers. We also went to high school together in Larchmont, N.Y. He is a poet, novelist, reader of everything and a great cook. When Jon writes about food I go crazy. Read his latest post on steamers here.

Jon read everything and as a kid who had been severely restricted to approved reading material, I was inspired. His mom Marge, was an amazing lady too. She let me hide out in their big house when I was running away from home. I remember thinking one of the window fans in the house had "gone crazy" but it was their neighbor starting up his helicopter, to commute to NYC, 17 miles away.
