A Small Loaf

Last night my husband said he needed bread for tomorrow. My bucket of dough had risen but I was tired and ready for bed. So I ripped off a blob of the dough the size of a grapefruit and greased the small iron pot, placing the dough inside. I put it in the cold oven and turned the dial to 450 covered, while getting ready for bed. 45 minutes later when it was nearly done I took the lid off and baked it 15 minutes more. It came out so great! I might use this as my new method for a few days. If I do small batches I can use some dough for pizza.

Today feels like a Friday! Yesterday felt like a Thursday! Every snow storm changes the days of the week.

The snow is as high as the ladders to the fire escapes on the tenements.
