What is the artists role in a community. I don't get to have an appointed title or an earned badge although I am thinking about making myself a girl scout vest with little hand made emblems.
I love when there's a snow storm. I wave to the plow drivers and enjoy the car-free roads. People smile and say hello. Dogs are happy to finally get a walk. WE ARE ALL EQUAL AGAIN!!! As it should be.
I love the City in a storm. Today we are having another whopper. School is canceled and I have already done one round for the mailman and the oil man and my dog. It has already doubled what I shoveled!
Yesterday we shoveled the double garage flat roof. It took 2 hours We put up a tall aluminum ladder from the painting dept at Trinity Rep where Schnig worked 30 years ago, and we climbed up. We were able to work fast and the snow was fluffy and beautiful. It was igloo snow!
We found a few empty quart Budweiser bottles while we were up there and part of a metal bed frame that had been tossed up like a javelin! The snow was fluffy and fun to cut into chunks with the shovel and toss overboard. Sugar cubes for giants. Or heads of enemies falling.
We were able to watch the drug dealers and the auto chop-shop from a new vantage point.
Our next door neighbor kids who are in the parades with us, Anthony and Skyler begged to come up on the roof. We love them but we had to say no. They asked for us to drop snow sugar cubes on their heads from above. So I picked a light puff of snow and tipped it over the side and they were thrilled.
I was hypomanic from Friday's massive Dick VanDyke roof shoveling and lost sleep from the endorphin euphoria. So Sunday after the garage shoveling I was super tired and grouchy. I took a shower ate leftover Chinese green beans supper and fell asleep on the couch. I went to bed at 8PM. My brain was writing in my dreams since 3 AM.
I am thinking I would love weight lifting and since I am a vain performer it might be a good match.
